This saddle was done as my end of a trade with a really great artist - one of my first ever commission pieces.  It went really well for me, and I managed to not stress myself out too much over it, so I imagine I'll be taking more commission orders in the near future.

The saddle is modeled after a Circle Y Arabian Pleasure Saddle that the customer sent me a photo of, and I think I managed to match it pretty closely.  One of the most fun parts about taking this order was that by matching a different kind of saddle than I normally do, I got to try some new things.  The silver pattern is all new to me, as is the tooling pattern - it's dogwood flowers around the edges with basketweave in the middle.  It comes with two headstalls, one curb with romel reins, and one snaffle with splits.  I also did an arabian style chest strap - it's the same as a breastcollar, except with no center strap attaching directly to the girth.

The model is Debbi LerMond's "Aisha", painted by Karen Caldwell, and is not for sale.
